SYNERGYPICTURES
So wait...let me get this straight.
You're a frustrated Actor seeking great
footage of you on camera in a role that doesn't suck...
and I'm a frustrated Filmmaker seeking
a few great Actors to create amazing
on-camera moments we can both be proud of.
Surely, we can work this out! :)

About SYNERGY.
I'm guessing there are VERY few humans on the planet who have taken over a MILLION Headshots of Actors (not a typo).
Maybe that gives me a unique perspective - or maybe just a sore trigger finger but either way - I guess I'm kind of a strange dude.
I moved to LA a hundred years ago to write and direct, and started a side hustle to survive doing headshots, which you may know me for. My closest friends were actors, and I would listen to their struggles of trying to get footage back from projects that ran out of money, never completed, or were cut out of. As if pursuing an acting career was not hard enough - now you need proof before you even get a shot!

I'd been to film school, had all the gear and began helping my friends get the footage they so desperately needed. I'm not sure I've ever laughed so hard in my life and that was it for me - I was HOOKED!
My Actor Factory team and I recently celebrated our 1000th demo scene and our 10th year together, creating powerful moments for our clients.

Being an actor is HARD.

How do you stand out, find traction, get representation, and get working? In smaller markets, perhaps the math is not quite as challenging, but if you are in a competitive market - how in the world do you stand out?
Why YOU?
As online casting has leveled the playing field a bit - the reality is that a Casting Director anywhere in the world can find you, and you are not penalized as much by not living on the coasts. But why would an Agent/Manager/CD stop on an average headshot and sparse resume? The sad truth is - they probably won't.
But what if you had actual proof of your talent?
What if you had a reason an Agent/Manager/CD would stop and stick their neck out for you? As an actor with footage, you move up and are ranked higher in the search engine on the casting sites for your type. Great - so you just need "tape" of yourself to upload.

To get "tape" of yourself, an actor has to go to countless auditions and callbacks to get a line or two on a legit production. IF you book the job, you are still at risk of your part being cut, and even if you make it to set to film a small role, you can (and most likely will) be cut out of the final product and never see a frame of the footage a full year or more later!
This is the unfortunate reality of the business of SHOW.

Many start in Indy films or student films for no pay in exchange for footage that is either unusable or is never finished. Bottom line - It takes years and years to get any decent footage of your work, and your first jobs typically are non-speaking or a line or two at best, which are often cut.

What if you could be cast as the Lead in a scene custom-written for you to fully lean into your strengths and create a moment you are truly proud of AND get IMDb credits for?!?

This is why we started SYNERGY.

OK....let's get real about your reel.
There will be no car chases through the streets of Paris with elaborate fight sequences or Mars landings with Cyborgs - sorry - pronouns Cypeople - but NO ONE gets an Oscar for landing a Mars pod with Cypeople. Right???
Actors are nominated, and audiences watch - because of great ACTING and their unique ability in a role to create a great MOMENT.

We are simply looking to create a moment or two that shows you can deliver. And yes - thanks for asking - you will have proof. :)
We want the type of thirty-second teaser scene you see on the Tonight Show or Kimmel when an actor is promoting an upcoming film. A quick lean-in moment specifically designed to make the actor look good and entice the audience to want to see more. THIS is the goal.

We are aspiring filmmakers and love every opportunity to work on our film "Muscle" and collaborate with you. We shoot on a Netflix-approved 6k Cinema camera with a few of the bells and most of the whistles.

We'd LOVE to collab with you and will bust our asses to make some ART with you in Oklahoma, Chicago, Arkansas, Louisville, and Kansas City.

I'VE ALWAYS LOOKED AT LIFE THROUGH A LENS

My dad was a director, and so I grew up on his stages and sets, completely in awe of actors. After moving to LA, I heard countless horror stories of actors never getting footage for projects they had worked months on, or the footage they do finally get is terrible and unusable. 10 years ago, I started helping my closest actor friends get powerful moments captured on camera, and something clicked.

No matter how great a Headshot you have - it never shows how talented you are.
Creating memorable moments for our clients has become an obsession, and there is no better day than being on set, creating, collaborating, and especially finding those special moments we can both be proud of.
CHRIS "OZ" MCINTOSH
the great and not to mention powerful
Oz is a badass multi-hyphenate award-winning filmmaker and one of those millennials we've been hearing so much about.

He directed the North Hollywood CineFest hit Flint, which FilmThreat.com calls "as close to cinematic perfection as we dare get," along with editing theatrical features like The One starring EMMY® Award Winner Martin Sheen and Frackers starring Regina Ting Chen of Stranger Things. McIntosh will co-direct, writes scenes when I beg and typically handles post-production for all reels.

He will make sure you look/sound/are great - and even make you 10-15 pounds lighter on screen (depending on the generosity of your tip).
